Nom: Sigerist, Henry E.
Historien de la médecine. Chargé d'étude en histoire de la médecine à Zürich (1921). Succède à Karl Sudhoff à la direction de l'Institut d'histoire de la médecine à Leipzig (1924-32). Professeur d'histoire de la médecine à la John Hopkins university de Baltimore (1933-47), y fonde un institut d'histoire de la médecine et le Bulletin of the history of medicine. Plusieurs ouvrages sur l'histoire de la médecine. Président de l'American association of history of medicine (1937) et de l'History of science society (1939-40).
