In 1967, he was awarded the Nuffield Foundation Postdoctoral Traveling Fellowship in Medicine which he took up at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London, England. Puis s’installe aux Etats-Unis en soixante-onze, assistant professor of neurology at the University of California San Francisco and later full professor of neurology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Professor and Chair Emeritus of the LSU Department of Neurology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans
